Two (2) years of related health care experience

Recent PSP experience required, in critical care setting preferred

Infection Prevention and Control Certificate required

Participation of supervision of physical therapy students on an ongoing basis and is a resource for the education of interprofessional students

Provides physiotherapy assessment and treatment while collaborating with the interprofessional team

Is an expert resource for staff, students, and other health care providers related to physiotherapy

Participates on appropriate committees pertaining to the operation of the CrCU

Participates in discipline-specific activities within Physiotherapy Services

Practices in accordance with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario standards of practice

One year of Administrative/Business experience in health care setting required

Experience as PAA on a Critical Care Unit preferred

Knowledge of software packages such as Word/Windows

One year of Community College; Medical Terminology course preferred

Proven accurate keyboarding skills at 40 net w.p.m. OR data entry at 106 net keystrokes per minute.

One year of Community College required.

Must achieve successful completion of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s PAA training within specified timeframe.

Experience with continuous quality improvement / risk management processes and person-centred care philosophy;

Responsible for the management of care issues related to residents /family/advocates;

Responsible for overall supervision for entire building in absence of senior management;

Acts as a role model for nursing staff by demonstrating clinical expertise and comprehensive knowledge in the delivery of resident care;
