Job description: We're looking for an Underwriting Assistant, Auto and Property Lines, to join our team! As an Underwriting Assistant your work will have a big impact on ensuring that our book of business is correctly classified, by performing policy updates throughout the life cycle of the policy renewal.


Accountabilities:

• Coordinating and issuing customer mailings.

• Apply underwriting strategies in accordance with company guidelines and personal underwriting authority limits.

• Work closely to develop and maintain positive business partnerships with Underwriters, Allstate Brand sales department and co-workers, and respond to internal client inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

• Use the computer system for policy inquiry, recording and tracking policy changes, Underwriting and rating transactions. Refer policies that are non-compliant to the Underwriters.

• Ensuring the delivery of individual results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

• Participates in projects/assignments as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

• College diploma or University Degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience

• Proficient in MS Office applications: Excel, Outlook, and Word

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and strong interpersonal skills, to work effectively and professionally with diverse groups.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Proven organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Proven prioritization and time management skills with accurate results.

• Ability to work in an environment fostering teamwork
