Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Trainer to join our dynamic Supply Chain team in Vancouver. In this role you will perform assigned duties to assist in the planning, organizing, documenting and delivery of orientation and training for the Production/Distribution Laboratory and Logistics.
Reporting to the Resource Manager, Supply Chain, you will be responsible for supporting all Supply Chain training activities within the Region, in accordance with Canadian Blood Services regulations, standards and good manufacuring practices.
Key responsibilities include:
Rotational: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Possible shifts: 0700-1500, 0730-1530, 0800-1600, 0830-1630, 0900-1700
Rest days: Saturday & Sunday

- Supervises trainees
- Delivers training sessions
- Plans and schedules training sessions
- Assists with the implementation of new projects and processes
- Develops and designs training material
- Minimum of 3 years progressive related Blood Transfusion experience
- Instructional Staff Training Program certified instructor
- Current eligibility for registration with Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science
- Adult Learning Certificate from a recognized and accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Understand and apply adult learning principles
- Keep abreast of new developments and technology
- Demonstrated ability to
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint)
- Coach and post-training support
- Perform excellent organizational and time management skills
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Operate related equipment including computerized equipment
- Demonstrated supervisory ability
- Demonstrated physical ability to perform the duties of the job
- Flexible adaptability to different learners and situations
- Demonstrated knowledge and technical competence relevant to procedures
- Demonstrated effective presentations and training skills
- Organize workload and set priorities
