We’re seeking a hands-on QA Team Lead to manage two diverse teams of testers, drive efficiency in test coverage, oversee planning activities in sprints, and optimize test methods of existing product features. In this role, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge of Phreesia’s customers and integration solutions architecture.
As a QA Team Lead, you’ll work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Testers to chart timelines, assist in stories grooming, and centralize details to ensure both a clear scope of work and define acceptance criteria.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead teams of testers (manual, automated testing; local and remote testers) in Agile environment.
- Configure, administer, and troubleshoot software test environments.
- Ensure that test results are recorded / analyzed / reported.
- Continuously coach and develop testers through evaluations and live constructive feedback.
- Develop new methods to test existing product features, measure and constantly evolve QA processes and improve efficiency of QA activities in the assigned teams.
- Plan, document, execute and automate tests, review and prioritize bug reports, analyze results of load and performance testing.
- Work with customer teams to determine client issues when escalated to Software Engineering.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to analyze complex technical problems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Knowledge and experience with web application architecture, relational database, Microsoft .NET and related technologies: C#, HTML, JavaScript and proven experience with QA automation and related tools.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively, adapt easily to shifting priorities, schedule and process changes along with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong hands-on experience in writing detailed test plans, test cases, test scripts, creating test data, test execution, creating defects, and QA methodologies and best practices.
- 5+ years testing complex software systems and applications, including 2+ years leading QA and/or in Agile environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communications; ability to explain issues clearly and concisely and establish effective working relationships.
- Expert in API testing and user-oriented testing.
