Field Placement Liaisons are responsible for facilitating and guiding learning and providing an effective learning environment for all students in an experiential education atmosphere. They require flexible work hours in order to supervise students in their field placements in collaboration with the on-site supervisor in the community. Responsibilities also include implementing the established field curriculum and assessing student assignments as part of a co-requisite course. Placement Liaisons are also required to make on site placement visits during both daytime and evenings as per agency operational hours.
Remuneration will be per student assignment and for transportation costs.
Required Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years experience as a front line DSW within a variety of settings
• Conflict management and advocacy skills
• Ability to work in a computerized environment including proficiency using Word and PowerPoint and experience or ability to work with a learning management system such as Brightspace. All successful applicants are required to participate in Brightspace training.
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Demonstrated group facilitation skills
• Diploma in Developmental Services Worker or related field of study and/or Bachelor of Disability Studies or related field of study
• Supervisory experience an asset
