What You'll Do:
- Develop monthly preseason plans at the Channel/Category/Subcategory level, partnering with Merchandising/Marketing/Retail on Newness buy. Able to build a financial framework for total quarterly buy, given company level topline targets. Manage inseason & exit inventory, limiting excess.
- Work cross functionally to act as functional voice & key stakeholder.
- Partners with the Supply Planning team to ensure forecasts can be translated into actionable supply chain plans that optimize inventory and maximize customer service.
- Execute forecasting strategy for Ecommerce channel ensuring optimal inventory with the goal of meeting financial plans, inventory and customer service targets, with oversight & topline targets from manager.
- Understand and analyze key business drivers (point-of-sale data, market share, product data, inventory requirements, new product introductions, product placements, visual merchandising) and drive improvement in the forecasting process.
- Forecast sku level plans in system (Blue Ridge), utilizing software & business acumen to accurately roll total Retail channel demand. Focus on accuracy, based on seasonality, historical trend, pricing strategies, test/learn strategies, etc.
- Influence inventory targets (including safety stock levels) based on changes in demand and market trends. With help from manager, understand the levers that affect inventory and anticipate business spikes related to seasonal trends, marketing and promotion efforts.
- Report on current business & forecast with accuracy & assumptions outlined. Determine root causes for trend changes/inaccuracies/business performance and be able to take action on solutions, with direction and guidance from manager.
- Work towards presenting Channel financials at monthly financial review (S&OP), calling out drivers, actions & solutions to current business.
- Understanding of business processes including marketing, merchandising, supply chain, and inventory systems
- Proven track record of managing large revenue across multiple levels of plans in a store/omni environment.
- Ability to connect and influence multiple stakeholders across various functions and levels to drive performance.
- Have experience forecasting at item level and managing up to total channel. Understand a tops down and bottoms up approach.
- Self-starter who thrives in fast paced environments that require multi-tasking, prioritization and minimal oversight.
- Broad range of computer skills: database, spreadsheet, statistics applications and software, ERP systems
- Keen analytical skills (extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities)
- Forecast carryover with 90% accuracy in Blue Ridge system.
- Minimize Stock outs/Backorder in top tier items in stores.
- Slow moving Inventory - Minimize cash held in excess inventory to <10% of total inventory value
- Meet topline financial goals (including sales & gross margin) for Retail Channel & accurately plan by category/subcategory.
- Semi-annual performance reviews.
