Logistics Specialist - Onsite

Where: Ontario, CA

What: 12 Month W2 Contract (90% chance of extension/perm)

Pay: $22-24/HR (negotiable)

Schedule: Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm (some paid overtime)

Top Requirements

• SAP & Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
• Experience working in warehouse, 3PL, or supply chain
• 4 Year Bachelor degree preferred, at least 2 year associates required
• Must have knowledge of inbound, outbound, and inventory management
• This role is fully onsite and is performed in a warehouse. 50% of time will be spent in the warehouse

Summary:

The main function of a Logistics Specialist is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule. A typical logistics specialist is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.

Job Responsibilities

• Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
• Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.
• Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
• Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
• Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
• Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.
• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education/Experience:

• Associates/Bachelor's
• 3+ years related experience required.
