Our client, a North American based, structural engineering organization is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team in Abbotsford British Columbia.
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for driving best practices and will develop and implement human resources strategies within the organization.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
· Ensure a superior employee experience by working with management to build a positive culture across the organization.
· Participate in the annual performance evaluation and review process.
· Support management with organizing appropriate training and development programs.
· Lead and motivate HR staff and provide supervision.
· Lead full cycle recruitment including developing procedures and standards for tracking new candidates and ensure effective processing of new employees.
· Manage the onboarding process for new employees.
· Provide expertise on employment and policy related matters.
· Provide guidance on employee relations matters.
· Conduct workplace investigations and develop performance improvement plans.
· Oversee the benefits and RRSP program and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
· 8+ years of experience in an HR Generalist capacity with some management level experience.
· Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related field
· CHRP designation is an asset.
· Previous experience utilizing and implementing an HRIS system is an asset.
· Previous experience implementing programs and policies based on best practices.
· Demonstrated ability building trust with employees and leadership teams.
· Ability to work collaboratively across the entire organization.
· Experience in a fast-paced environment with the ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Excellent communication both verbally and in writing.
