Job Description

Hurst Hospitality is currently searching for an experienced General Manager for ourHoliday Inn Express & Suites Regina-Southlocated inRegina, SK.


The General Manager is responsible for creating and maintaining a customer-driven hotel with a customer-keeping vision that inspires the hotel associates to do their best. Oversees the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality and service in accordance with hotel's profitability goals.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hotel department leaders to define goals and objectives that are compatible with the overall hotel goals, as well as strategies for achieving them
  • Establish the hotel's reputation for quality by inspecting rooms, public areas, and the surrounding grounds for cleanliness and upkeep
  • Provide the vision, leadership, and strategy that inspires your staff to deliver exceptional guest service that drives financial success
  • Lead sales and marketing efforts by developing a targeted strategy for publicizing the hotel's services and amenities
  • Interview, hire supervise and counsel department managers in the efficient operation of their respective area(s). Meet with, develop and delegate improvement plans for operation and review performance of management team.
  • Perform administrative duties including: reading and writing reports, critically review reports of occupancy, revenue etc. Make judgments and implement changes to maximize profits.
  • Monitor cost control, property condition, cleanliness and quality of product and service throughout hotel. Greet and maintain rapport with associates and customers.
  • Create a budget to maximize profit margins while keeping costs in balance with guest satisfaction and quality of services
  • Be responsible for the full implementation and consistency of operating standards and guest care within the unit in accordance with company standards, brand standards and the industry rating for the property.


Qualifications:

  • Able to deliver exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction.
  • Display initiative, perseverance and analytical skills.
  • Team player, professional and lead with integrity
  • Well organized, detail oriented and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English, with excellent grammar and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Being able to legally work in Canada
  • 2+ years of hotel leadership in a branded hotel. Previous IHG experience an asset
  • Degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred
