The Role: Graphic Designer


Who are you?


You’re a highly organized, motivated, collaborative, and creative graphic and web designer. You have experience in bringing brand messages and campaigns to life through engaging visual communications across digital and print mediums. You are a self-starter who loves a challenge and can take an idea and run with it.


Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and engineering, to ensure that all visual designs align with the company's brand identity and messaging.
  • Stay up to date with design trends and emerging technologies and provide recommendations for new design approaches and techniques.
  • Develop and maintain visual design standards and guidelines for the company's marketing materials.
  • Manage and maintain the company's visual assets, including photography, illustrations, and design templates
  • Design and produce high-quality visual materials, including marketing collateral, presentations, infographics, reports, and digital assets (website, social media, landing pages and emails).
  • Support the development of website designs and user experience design.
  • Work with external vendors and contractors to ensure the quality of design projects.


Key Qualifications:
  • Experience:
  • Strong, varied portfolio of design work, including examples of visual design for digital and print media.
  • Video experience is an asset.
  • Agency and in-house experience are considered an asset
  • Experience with web design and development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visual communications principles.
  • 3-5 years of experience in graphic and web design
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of website content management systems and email platforms, such as WordPress and Mailchimp.
  • Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and landing page tools, such as MS Dynamics Marketing and Unbounce is considered an asset
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field.
  • Education:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Characteristics:
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow brand guidelines.
