Finance and Admin Support

Who are you?


SiftMed is looking for a hard worker and a problem solver. This individual will be a critical member of our team who will provide support to the Assistant Controller on finance, human resources, and office duties. The person in this role will be responsible for monthly bookkeeping, payroll, administrative duties, and supporting the leadership team. This person will enjoy working as part of a team and want to add value to the organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Completion of monthly claims to government agencies
  • Manage day-to-day operations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Think and respond quickly! We’re a start up so things move fast :)
  • Assistance in filing for and following up on various funding agencies
  • Assist with employee onboarding contracts, equipment procurement, and tracking, along with customer contracts
  • Monthly compliance filings
  • Assistance in preparing financial reports
  • Monthly bookkeeping
  • Reconciling accounts and sub-ledgers
  • Support the year-end process along with annual financial audits and tax filings.
  • Provide assistance as required to support business operations
  • Work directly with provincial and federal funding agencies to manage relationships, complete applications, and secure funding


Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience in bookkeeping
  • Experience using accounting systems
  • Very strong organizational skills
  • Three to five years of experience in a similar role
  • Analytical and Excel skills
  • Thrive in a team setting
