This position is responsible to perform surveys, installation, and service of bowling electronics products. Conducts training and support of bowling center personnel in operation and maintenance of bowling electronics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides training to center personnel on maintenance of electronic scoring equipment.
- Stays current with all on-going technical publications on our various equipment in order to remain efficient in troubleshooting.
- Performs installation start-up and debugging of electronic scoring equipment.
- Provides post-sale in-servicing on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Communicate customer’s expectations, understandings and product needs along with acceptance and interpretations of sales programs, products, service and training offerings as a direct liaison to Marketing, R&D, Sales Management, Service & Training.
- Maintains an accurate inventory of business equipment, service parts, tools. Conducts regular cycle counts and verify tool calibration.
- Maintains exceptional communication with the customer to ensure that clear expectations are set and ensuring they are met or exceeded.
- Keeps clear documentation on all service calls, part returns and expenses, and submits reports as required by established practices.
- Adheres to account protocols. Responsible for fault isolation and maintenance of equipment at account locations
- Performs warranty, upgrades, field actions, preventative maintenance, installations, deliveries, billable or any other related services required by a client.
- Follows all proper safety procedures and practices.
- Works with third party team members. Escalate any on-going issue in a timely manner to minimize customer down time.
- Maintains tools, parts and diagnostic equipment in a working and organized state and maintains a minimum stock of required on hand parts.
- Performs calibrations and tuning on equipment to ensure superior operation.
- Follows all administrative duties, complete all necessary paperwork and track product support solutions, e.g., Repair Orders, Service Request Forms, Product Inquiries, Field Actions and Part Order Requisitions in a very accurate and timely manner.
- Works closely with the scheduler, sales team, and project manager, to ensure installation timelines are met.
- Performs computer network audits.
- Performs service calls and phone support for equipment issues both in and out of warranty.
- Performs surveys and briefs customer on responsibilities of both parties for installation.
- Promotes our business by recognizing opportunities to fulfill additional customer needs and communicating with the appropriate internal personnel for follow up.
Competencies:
- Working knowledge and troubleshooting basics of board replacement level.
- Working knowledge of principles of electrical and electronic basics and theories.
- Construction/Renovation Mindset
- Bowling formats, bowling center operation and management, customer relations, support procedures, Time/expense management, telephone skills, effective problem solving.
- Knowledge of systems architecture, database management systems, and network and systems management systems.
- Working knowledge of computer network architecture and troubleshooting.
- Basics of Project Management
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office productivity suite.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Electronics or Electronics Trade School diploma, or equivalent work experience.
- Must have a valid full drivers license and a vehicle for local site travel
- Bilingual - French and English
- Must be able to travel to the United States of America for training
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
- Depending on assigned work, customer demands may dictate work during early mornings, late nights, and weekends
- Travel will be 100% of the time to customer locations across Canada, infrequent international locations also.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
