Job Description
About Herschel Supply

Welcome to Herschel Supply, where we make quality products for a lifetime of better journeys. Designed with timeless form and intuitive function in Vancouver, Canada, every piece is backed by our signature warranty for wherever you’re going next.

Since 2009, we’ve never stopped taking risks. We’re constantly innovating, growing our community, reducing our impact on the environment and heading on new journeys. We’ve gotten lost in new cities, made lifelong friends all over the world, road tripped with no GPS, and explored a ton of creative pursuits along the way.

Putting yourself out there isn’t easy. It means stepping outside of your comfort zone and trying something new. It might be scary at first, but it also leads to the best parts of life. Inspiring others to take that leap is what we live for. Wherever you’re headed, we’re here to help you pack your future with possibilities.

So, come along for the ride, get inspired and Put Yourself Out There.

About Your New Role

The Community Events Coordinator is responsible for driving community engagement and ultimately growing love for the Herschel Supply brand within the Canada West Region. This will be accomplished through hosting community events/activations, effective use of social media, managing key partnerships, supporting PR when required, and working in partnership with retail teams. You love networking and can easily connect to creatives in your key markets, as this role is responsible for fostering relationships with local brands, vendors, media, influencers and more. You are also a champion for Herschel Supply and our stores, ensuring that all community marketing efforts are brand-right and aligned with our Purpose, Vision & Values.

*Region may shift according to changes in new store opening plans, in which case a conversation will be had with Coordinator and Manager to notify Coordinator of redefined region.*

  • Host regular meetings to build key relationships with neighborhood retailers in addition to local media, influencers, designers, artists, and vendors.
  • Support key wholesale accounts on a weekly basis, as required based on the needs of the business. This support includes, but is not limited to merchandising, event/activations, and hosting product knowledge sessions.
  • Develop and Report on Community Marketing success metrics including KPI’s and OKR’s. This includes event recaps which are completed 2-3 days post event.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including the Manager, Community & Events, to develop an annual Community Marketing strategy.
  • Create a social media calendar that corresponds to the community events calendar, to ensure our community work is highlighted regularly to a larger audience. This includes building out the strategy, actively managing the day-to-day, and posting regularly.
  • Develop a robust calendar of community events/activations both in-store and out of store, that drive strong attendance, engagement and impressions. Travel to key events/activations may be required as determined by Manager, Community & Events.
  • Manage the Community Marketing budget for assigned Community Hubs
