Richardson Oilseed is one of Canada’s oldest and largest fully-integrated oilseed processing and packaging operations with three facilities across Canada. We currently have an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant - Part time in our Barrhead, SK facility to join our team here at Richardson. In this position, you will be responsible for providing administrative and project support including preparing correspondence, coordinating meetings, and general office duties as follows:
Responsibilities:
  • Provide back-up support for administrative, receptionist and EH&S roles
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist in production schedules and inventory control
  • Support HR functions i.e. payroll, new hire orientation
  • Support and assist coordination of Company events
  • Coordinate stationary orders and incoming and outgoing couriers and mail
  • Assist with purchasing and accounts payable
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess an Administrative Certificate/Diploma, or equivalent experience in an administrative role as follows:
  • Sound judgment, initiative and decision-making skills
  • Work independently with minimum supervision
  • Previous experience in Human Resources or payroll is an asset
  • A valid driver’s licence is required
  • Proven interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping, general office practices, Microsoft applications and experience in word-processing and data entry
  • 2 – 3 years experience in an office administration capacity
  • Excellent computer skills including experience with Power Point
