Our company is seeking an experienced, drivenAccounts Receivable and Payroll Coordinatorto join our growing team. A successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our company concisely rates and bills customer freight invoices, receives payments related to invoices and collects all outstanding debts past due. From the information collected the candidate will be required to process company and driver payroll and broker settlements and upload through ADP direct deposit software on a bi-weekly schedule. The ideal candidate will be focused learning new software exclusive to the industry and providing reports to management as required. Time management, attention to detail and organization are essential skills in this role. The candidate will be expected to provide excellent customer service and should enjoy working in a fast-paced, detail driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emails.
- Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP direct deposit.
- Any other duties of the role not specified.
- Administer monthly fuel surcharges for Canadian customers
- Check credit of customers and new applicants.
- Calculate employee contributions for company matched RRSP contributions.
- Calculate and monitor company health benefits deductions and payments.
- Calculate driver time sheets to reflect on pay settlements.
- Process reimbursement requests for drivers and staff.
- Provide customer statements.
- Interact with customers and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Track and maintain stat holidays and banked hours for drivers.
- Calculate & Communicate all freight rates. (US and Canada bound)
- Process freight information into accounting system.
- Calculate Owner/Operator pay settlements to process payments in CAD and US funds
- Follow up on payments to ensure timely payment and recognition of own performance.
Qualifications
- Confidence with Microsoft Office and other company specific management software
- Reliable transportation to work in a rural area
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Create and decipher reports as required
- 2 years experience in business accounting/payroll (preferred)
- Appreciation for mathematical processes
- Willingness to train and develop to meet the needs of the position
- Attention to detail
- Possess the necessary people skills for employee and customer service
- Organization
- Able to work and contribute in a team environment
- Time management in a fast paced environment
