They must be able to read blueprints, follow state and local building regulations, and understand the National Electrical Code. Detailed Job Description Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They must be able to read blueprints, follow state and local building regulations, and understand the National Electrical Code. Electricians must be able to identify and troubleshoot problems with electrical systems, and make repairs as needed. They must also be able to install and maintain wiring systems, circuit breakers, and other electrical components. Job Skills Required
